Mott MacDonald provided tender civil, structural, architectural
and building design services for this 9 tonnes/hour
energy-from-waste (EfW) facility. The project involved site
preparation and infilling of harbour to form platform for
facility.
Other key aspects included:
- Specialist EfW bunker basement
- Furnace hall
- Flue gas treatment areas
- Secondary waste incinerator
- Air cooled condenser
- Steelwork
- Administration block
We also devised an alternative design to remove a deep basement.
Mott MacDonald delivered a presentation to States of Guernsey
planning officers and councillors including 3D modelling and
video.
