On behalf of the Environment Agency, Mott MacDonald developed a
monitoring strategy and produced risk assessments for a dredged
waste landfill adjacent to the Thames. The aim of the project was
to demonstrate through the use of risk assessments that the site
does not pose a significant threat to the surrounding environment
and can meet the requirements of the EC Landfill Directive.

the Environment Agency to lobby the government for landfills be
made available for dredging materials.
